Jamie Chong-You has been in Gainesville since coming to attend the University of Florida in 1995. Upon graduating in 1999, he began a teaching career which lasted for six years until he became the Director of Worship and Arts at The Rock of Gainesville in 2005. Jamie has been heavily involved in the performing arts ministry at The Rock since 1997. He has participated on and led a step team, 3 separate hip hop dance teams, and has been involved in various other artistic forms of worship. His dance training has mostly been through experience and personal study. Jamie now desires to pass on some of what he's learned through the years while continuing to grow as a dancer and a choreographer. His ultimate hope is that students would realize the ability they have to use dance to worship God and do it with excellence.
